My name is Al Jiggs. I’m a queer artist based out of Seattle Washington. I started going to school for film because I loved the idea of building story through images. I pivoted to art school as I realized filmmaking wasn’t necessarily the device I wanted to explore my creativity and story telling. So, I decided to school for studio arts with a focus in illustration.

Many of my illustrations explore themes around chubby animals, dark fantasy and male figures. The inspiration Behind my work draws deeply from my own journey with mental health. In many of my projects, there is the concept of duality. I believe that multiple things can be true when you’re on a path of healing and growing. nothing is as black and white as it seems, and we as individuals are allowed to be just as complex as life is.

Outside of Art, I’m a big foodie, there may be some food illustrations in my future. I watch too much tv and movies. I love playing video games but there is not enough time in my day to get to them.
